slightly longer version

work

I'm a software engineer at LinkedIn, where I've worked since late 2019. I do frontend web work, primarily leveraging the excellent EmberJS framework. My area of focus at LinkedIn is our main feed (e.g. what you see when you first login to your account), but I've touched numerous parts of the site over time.

Alongside my day-job, some recent tech interests have included accessibility (a11y), CSS, Python scripting, and Rust.

education

I studied political science at Williams College, a tiny liberal arts college in Western, MA. I'm a huge proponent of the benefits of going to small liberal arts colleges and may write about this in the future. During my junior year, I was fortunate to attend the Williams-Exeter Programme at The University of Oxford in Oxford, England. After this experience, I'm also a huge proponent of studying/living abroad!

Astute readers may notice a disconnect between my political science background and my current work in software engineering. I bridged that gap through a three-month intensive program at Hack Reactor, a coding bootcamp I attended in Austin, TX. At the time, I planned to stay in Austin and build a tech career there, but I ultimately found my way to the Bay Area.
